Discussion Forums

Discussion forums are online bulletin boards that are arranged by topics.  While anyone can read the posts, usually these forums require that you fill out a free registration form in order to have the privilege of posting.  One of the most popular forums online today is the one hosted by Two Plus Two Publishing.  This site is run by David Sklansky, probably the most respected odds and math man in Vegas.  He regularly consults for the major casinos, and he has authored many of the best books on poker.  Take a look, you will find lots of interesting posts about all aspects of the poker.

Another major discussion forum is the United Poker Forum.  They have a very large membership and discuss a wide variety of topics.

rec.gambling.poker

rec.gambling.poker began as an online newsgroup, and has continued to expand.  Most modern browsers have the ability to access this newsgroup without configuring any special news settings in their browser.  Some of the biggest names in poker (Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, TJ Cloutier, Annie Duke, Howard Lederer, and many more) post to this site frequently.  A fun thing to do is to search by author and enter in your favorite player and see what they have posted on a variety of topics.  Without looking too hard, you'll probably find posts from professionals talking a little smack to other professionals!  In any case, think of this as another type of forum that is less organized but more frequently visited than the one listed above hosted by Two Plus Two Publishing.
