Become Your Own Affiliate

Affiliates are entities that bring new poker players to a poker site in exchange for an incentive.  (HoldemNation is an example of an affiliate.)

Becoming an affiliate is usually a fairly simple process for folks who are interested in becoming one.  Some sites have varying requirements that must be met (such as a professional looking website) in order to approve of new affiliates.  Others automatically give all of their players the ability to act as an affiliate upon sign-up as a player.  However, if you have a few friends that are thinking of giving online poker a try, you should click on one of the affiliate sign-up links below so that you can refer your friends before they sign-up and earn a slice of their ongoing play.

There are two types of commission structures that affiliates can usually choose from:  commission or bounty.

A commissioned affiliate earns a percentage of the rake that their referring players contribute to the site over time.  This is the structure that we recommend.

A bounty affiliate earns an upfront one time fee of $50 or more for each new player they bring to the website.

Each affiliate program has its own terms and agreement that you must abide by, and you should read these terms when signing up as an affiliate.  However, one of the most common terms worth mentioning is that you are NOT allowed to refer yourself to their poker program.  In other words, you may not sign-up for their poker site under your own affiliate.  Violation of this (or any other) term is grounds for having your affiliate account closed and all funds earned forfeited.
